From Father Gabriel’s Desk

Dear Mothers and Grandmothers,

With love and gratitude, I wish to address each of you as we begin the month of May, a month traditionally dedicated in a special way to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God and our spiritual Mother.
During this Marian month, the Church invites us to draw closer to Our Lady, to honor her, and to imitate her virtues of faith, humility, purity, patience, and loving surrender to the Will of God. Mary is the perfect model of motherhood, showing us how to love generously, sacrifice quietly and trust completely in the Lord.
In a special way, I encourage each of you to turn to the Blessed Mother during this month of May and place yourselves, your families, your children and all your intentions into her Immaculate Heart. She knows the joys, concerns, sacrifices and hopes that fill a mother’s heart, and she lovingly intercedes for all her children.
One of the most beautiful ways to honor Our Lady in May is by praying the Holy Rosary as a family. Even if only one decade can be prayed together each day, this simple and powerful prayer will bring peace to homes, strengthen family bonds, protect children, and draw hearts closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Dear mothers, your vocation is precious in the eyes of God. Through your love, prayers, patience and daily sacrifices, you reflect the tenderness and strength of the Blessed Mother in the life of your family. Never underestimate the grace God pours out through your faithful motherhood.
As Mother’s Day approaches, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude and warm wishes to each of you. Also, I want to encourage you to persevere in your mission and vocation in life, never becoming tired of asking God for protection, and assistance in bringing up your children in His love. Thank you for all that you do, often unseen and unrecognized, for your families and for your parish community.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary bless you, protect you, and accompany you always. May she obtain for you peace, joy, strength, and many graces.
